An autumn afternoon riding a Rocky

It just doesn't get any better than a gorgeous autumn afternoon riding a Rocky. This afternoon Carol and I rode our home grown mare Winning Ticket ( we call her Winnie) who hadn't been riden since last summer at the UMH World Show.  It was absolutely amazing as she didn't miss a beat performing every task she was asked to do including side passing across the arena.  What can you say to describe this incredible breed of horse that can be brought up out of the pasture after over a year without a saddle on her back and perform like it was only yesterday she was in the show ring.  Yes, it was a veeerry goooood day!!!!!!

A little bit of heaven in Bluff Dale

Howdy,  It's your ole pardner Clint saying thank you God for the many blessings you have provided for Carol and me.  And one of those blessings is our wonderful home and horse farm here in Bluff Dale, Texas.  It truly is a little bit of heaven in my mind anyway.  Every morning when I go out to feed our horses, dogs and cat, I experience a closeness to God.  I  dearly love to pet on and give love to all of them, but especially the foals and weanlings.  Hey, there's just something really special about those little guys if you know what I mean.

Well, just wanted to share what I was feeling today and hope you have some of those same experiences at your farm.

A great year for SAM I AM

Wow!!!  It's been a great year for our wonderful stallion SAM I AM.  SAM won more than his share of championships this show season.  S.T. Tipton and all the folks at Van Bert deserve a standing ovation for an outstanding job of training and showing SAM this 2010 season.  Great Job" ya'll" as we say in Texas. 
    Carol really loves this horse and had a wonderful time showing him too!  Hope to see ya"ll next year on the show circuit.  We hope to make a few more shows than we were able to make this year.

Computer Madness

Hello, after weeks of frustration with my knowledge of computers and the mechanics of developing a blog I think I;ve finally figured out how to create my first blog and hopefully post it to our website so here goes.  Hope to return soon to let you know more about our little ole farm in the heart of Texas.
